Dr Rowlands is an experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with an interest in all aspects of pregnancy care including high risk obstetrics, recurrent miscarriage & pregnancy post fertility treatment. Combined with an extensive background in performing advanced laparoscopic gynaecological surgeries, Dr Rowlands understands the need for tailored care, focusing on the best possible outcomes and experiences for his patients.

Clinical Practice:

Dr Rowlands works at Glengarry Private Hospital and Joondalup Private Hospital and consults out of his private rooms in Duncraig opposite the hospital. Deliveries are performed at Joondalup Private Hospital.

Training & Background:

Dr Rowlands completed his medical degree in Scotland at Dundee University and was trained extensively in the speciality of Obstetrics and Gynaecology by leading Professors & Surgeons over 10 years in England. He arrived in Australia  and was appointed Head of Department at Kaleeya Hospital in East Fremantle from 2007-2014, prior to starting his private practice early in 2015.

Dr Rowlands has an extensive background in infertility having been trained by Prof John Yovich and working at PIVET Medical Centre for over 10 years. He has achieved Level 5/6 RANZCOG certification which enables him to perform the most advanced laparoscopic gynaecological surgeries. During his 25+ year career, he has been awarded Fellowship of the RCOG London and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in gynaecological/pelvic surgery – a rare qualification. Following immigration to Australia, Dr Rowlands has also been awarded Fellowship of RANZCOG.

Dr Rowlands is passionate about obstetric and gynaecological care and understands the importance of personalised treatment for every patient, always striving to provide the very best outcome and experience for all of his patients.
