Our experienced team
Our highly experienced midwives, nurses, obstetricians and paediatricians work together to provide you and your family with support, information and the highest standard of care ensuring your experience of childbirth is memorable and extra special. Having a baby is a very personal experience and we respect and encourage various birthing options, providing of course the option you choose is safe for you and your baby, and is supported by your doctor. Our comprehensive maternity service is designed to assist with all stages of pregnancy including antenatal, delivery, postnatal and parenting education.
Glengarry’s maternity service offers women and their families access to a full range of facilities including
- Operating theatre - around-the-clock operating theatre access for patients requiring an emergency or planned caesarean section
- Anaesthetic service - we have an anaesthetic service available at all times
- Special care nursery - for babies requiring dedicated nursing care and medical attention, we have a licensed level 2 special care nursery
- Paediatrician - all babies born at Glengarry Private Hospital are seen by an experienced paediatrician.
If you’re considering having your baby at Glengarry Private Hospital, as a first step, you’ll need to obtain a referral for the obstetrician of your choice from your GP. Your obstetrician will then provide a request for admission form to book you into the hospital.
