Glengarry Private Hospital celebrates milestone with 15,000 endoscopy patients
Aug 30, 2022
Glengarry Private Hospital has achieved a significant milestone with the endoscopy service welcoming 15,000 patients since the endoscopy service expanded in 2019 with the opening of a second procedure room.
“The endoscopy service plays an important role in helping meet the health care needs of Western Australians,” Ms Rimmer, Clinical Nurse Manager, said.
“The early detection and diagnosis of conditions such as bowel cancer is resulting in better treatment options and increased survival rates.”
People diagnosed earlier with bowel cancer are not only more likely to survive, but they also have lower treatment morbidity and improved quality of life compared to those diagnosed later. 1
