She has been in practice for over 15 years and is based in Perth. Dr de Wet is a clinical and laboratory Haematologist who is based in Perth and has been in practice for over 15 years. She consults on all areas of general haematology including haemostasis and thrombosis and cytopenias. Her interests are in obstetric haematology, geriatric haematology, haemostasis and thrombosis and chronic malignant conditions including myeloproliferative disorders, myeloma, lymphoma and myelodysplasia.

 

Background and Training

Dr de Wet completed her medical training at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree. She undertook physician training in Townsville, Queensland followed by Haematology sub-specialty training in Perth. In 2016, Dr de Wet completed a fellowship in palliative care and haematology. She undertook research in quality of life in myeloma and completed a Diploma in Palliative Medicine.
