Dr Ebrahim completed his specialist ENT training in 2011 at the University of Stellenbosch in Cape Town, South Africa. In 2013 he completed a Head-Neck fellowship in Brisbane, Australia and then returned to Cape Town in 2014 working as a consultant in the public sector.
He was the leading Head-Neck surgeon in the unit and spent the next 5 years treating patients with head-neck problems, including thyroid tumours. He has multiple publications in peer reviewed journals and in 2011 he completed his Masters (MMed), researching the spread of oral cancer to the submandibular gland.
In 2018 he relocated to Hamilton, NZ to lead the head-neck surgery division of the ENT department at Waikato Hospital. He also had a thriving private practice treating patients with head-neck issues (thyroid tumours, salivary gland disease/cancer, neck masses, swallowing/voice problems), adult and paediatric general ENT disorders, snoring and sinus disease.
Recently, he moved with his family to Perth, to join the team at Joondalup Hospital and Joondalup ENT private. He treats patients with general ENT problems but has a clinical interest in head-neck cancer including thyroid tumours and sinus surgery.
